No player is guaranteed to play for a specific coach or team

Hello Parents and Coaches,

 Hope all is well heading into the baseball and softball season. We are excited to start the spring season. There has been a lot of questions about teams and coaches. Teams will not be selected until registration closes. (End of March) Returning coaches will be able to protect up to 6 players from last season. This will be based on the amount of players per team, so it may be less. The rest of the players will be selected from the draft. If a coach does not protect a player then that player will enter the draft. No coach should be practicing with a full team because no teams have been selected. As MBSA does it best to keep relatives together this doesn’t always happen. Coaches that are practicing now with full teams will only confuse parents and cause false expectations of playing with that team. MBSA wants to make sure this is understood so we don’t have confusion about coaches. If coaches are practicing please understand that is only with parents consent and MBSA is not responsible for any incidents or injuries.
