Umpire Registration
This is a registration for any individual 16 years or older who is interested in umpiring at Midway BSA for baseball and softball.
Midway BSA provides all umpire training, uniform, and protective gear for each game.
If you are looking to enjoy the game of baseball while earning compensation, please complete this application form.

Ages
Individuals who are 16 years or older.
When
Our season starts in early to Mid May and games are held during the week and on weekends.
A schedule will go out each week asking for availability. You would confirm which dates you are available to be assigned to games.
If someone fails to show or cancels, you may be called as a fill in.
Games/ Times
During the week: (Monday thru Friday) are 5:45 PM
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) are: 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM.
MBSA Umpire Crew Uniforms
Each umpire is provided an offical MBSA Umpire Crew polo to be worn during every game.
Protective gear, clicker, and brush are provided to each umpire.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I decline a game?
Yes, if you are not available, you can decline and inform our coordinator to not assign you for that game.
If I have a family member on a team, will I be assigned to umpire their game?
No, we do our best to avoid any conflicts of interest.
How do I get paid? How often?
Payment is provided after each game. There is no waiting around to get paid End of Month, we pay each umpire directly after each game.
Does MBSA provide training? How often?
Yes, we pride ourselves on providing the best baseball and softball experience on the southside of Chicago. We provide training and mentorship to our umpires all season long to ensure they are prepared to succeed on the field. Come play, learn, and earn with the BEST!
